Inspiring Young Emerging Leaders (I-YEL) encourages, prepares, and challenges young people from diverse backgrounds to be advocates for environmental and social change. I-YEL is initiated, designed, and coordinated by youth, who receive support and training in planning and implementing projects that create positive change in their communities.

Fort Point: The Ocean, the Bridge and the Fort
Get away from your parents for a full day, discover the spookiness behind a military fort, and find out about the natural side of our bay area—what could be funner? How about meeting new people your age and spending the night underneath the Golden Gate Bridge—plus awesome food? Then come spend a day with I-YEL interns at Fort Point! March 2008. Date TBD. Starts at 10am and ends 10am the next day. Awesome food included.
All you need to bring:
sleeping bag
change of clothes
pj’s
comfortable shoes
a flashlight
a warm jacket or other outerwear
optional--a camera
maybe a toothbrush and toothpaste.
